Since recently collecting the last batch of pots from Dianne at Muddy Fingers which had been bisque fired I’ve been keen to try and develop my own glazes and techniques for  Raku firing.  Starting with a basic white Raku glaze  “G3” from Pieter Huibers and Irèsha Huibers-Knops’s book Rakuvaria 2.

The second group of pieces have been glazed with the Terracolor Esmeralda glaze. This glaze has a myriad of different persona, this firing has been the most interesting a rewarding. The deep greens and copper reduction are fluid and evocative.
