Japanese Porcelain

So there is some more on the Japanese porcelain I spoke of in an earlier post regarding The Japanese Influence or rather on my motivation at least. I have yet to photograph the whole of the dinner service and will get around to that when I have more time. Meanwhile here are a couple of other pictures.

The second item, the one on the right is a single piece, that is it doesn’t separate into a plate and bowl. I’m assuming it’s a sauce boat of sorts; not something that’s common tableware these days. You’re more likely to see a squeezy bottle of tomato ketchup or in my case sriracha hot sauce.

The maker’s mark can be seen here on the bottom of a teacup, hand painted KOSHIDA from Kyoto. cir 1954.
